Useless job no. 3,213

Some jobs are more useless to society than cigarette manufacturing and institutional assessment.

The paraphernalia shown above is one small bit of residue from a new suit (a Christmas gift that I only last week took time to unravel).  Why do we pay people to make machines that will make this annoying junk that the consumer has to remove?  Just look at all those little t-tags and pieces of plastic, nylon thread, and paper!

Ah yes,..annoying little pieces of consumer packaging! Just another small wonder of the free market in a capitalistic society. Take heart, by the time the system has finally succeeded in monetizing every last infinitesimal shred of your life, these little annoying pieces of packaging will seem like old friends.

I don’t know whether to a) smile and nod knowingly, feeling affirmed, or b) shriek in terror!
